Sending well wishes the Clarence "The Big Man" Clemons
Clarence Clemons suffered stroke
By Jay Lustig/The Star-Ledger
Clarence Clemons is seriously ill, according to a report on the web site showbiz411.com published by Roger Friedman at 7:03 p.m. today
The report said:
"We’re sending prayers to The Big Man, Clarence Clemons He is said to be seriously ill after a stroke at his home in Florida. The legendary, magnificent saxophone star of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band has had health complications in the past and overcome them. More info soon."
We will try to confirm this information and report more as soon as possible.
Clemons is the oldest member of the E Street Band, at 69, and, obviously, someone whose importance to the New Jersey music scene can't be overstated, and who is utterly irreplaceable. His saxophone sound is one of the most unique in rock. And although the E Street Band is currently on hiatus, he has been in the news, lately, after performing on Lady Gaga's new album, "Born This Way."
Labels: Bruce Springsteen, Clarence Clemons, The Big Man, The E Street Band
