America Kennel Club Celebrates the Labrador Retriever, and other dogs-January 21, 2009

this is a cake!

According to 2008 American Kennel Club registration statistics released today, the Labrador Retriever is by far the most popular dog in America. However to launch a celebration of its 125th anniversary during 2009, a Pointer - the most popular breed at Lab at a party thrown in recognition of this milestone, complete with a canine-themed cake. In 1884, the organization registered only nine breeds versus the 161 it recognizes today.

A great assignment to me is one that has animals. Next to cats, dogs are my favorites and today I got to see most of my favorite dogs. The big dog on the table-THAT's a cake! The smaller ones are cupcakes. The detail was amazing.
