Space Shuttle Flies over NYC

AMAZING morning in NYC, seeing the Space Shuttle fly over NYC. I am feeling tired, weak and achy, still having mono, but all those feelings left me for the few minutes I was watching this amazing sight with my pilot/photographer husband at my side. I have been blessed to make a living doing what I love, and days like today make me feel even more blessed

Levon Helm-thank you for the great music

Back in 1987, I had the honor of seeing and photographing Levon Helm for the first time at the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. The music was amazing, and near the end of the evening, Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa joined him for a few songs, helping to make the night even more memorable.
I heard yesterday that Levon is in the last battle for his fight against battle.
Thank you, Mr Helm, for bring so much enjoyment to so many with your music.

What does a photographer do when she is home sick with pneumonia?

I have been home sick with pneumonia and to say I am going crazy is an understatement. I am very fortunate to absolutely love what I do for a living and I have been blessed with a great career. Unlike a lot of photographers I know, I will shoot everyday-assignment or not. Luckily, I have 2 very photogenic cats that I can shoot all the time. They just make me laugh.

All photos taken with a Panasonic GF1 camera and 14-42mm lens
