Bruno Mars Live on TODAY Show's Concert Series...AMAZING!!!

I shoot so many concerts and musicians that is is a RARE day when I see someone and walk away wishing I could hear/see more. Today was one of those days. Bruno Mars performed live on TODAY, and it after working long and crazy hours all week and waking up at 4:30 am (after 3 hours of sleep) to a drizzle, the last thing I wanted to do was go shoot. But Bruno Mars was AMAZING, and he made me forget everything.
After a crazy day yesterday shooting Justin Bieber who is obnoxious and horrible, shooting Bruno Mars today was a great way to end the week and knowing there IS talent out there

it never ceases to amaze me the obstacles we (the photographers) have to go thru to get a shot at the Today Show. We arrive SUPER early to ensure a prime spot, and at the last minute, this is what happens(see photo below). EVERYONE and the kitchen sink gets put right in front of us, plus the tv monitor. It's not being used at this moment, yet no one is "allowed" to move it, or even ask for it to be moved.
Taylor was, as always, fantastic. This young woman had obstacles placed in front of her and she rose above it.

NEVER an easy shot here, and RARELY an enjoyable experience. We get little space where too many photographers are crammed in and then to make it worse, at the last minute they put FANS and a TV Monitor right in front of the photo pit.
WHY?? No doubt to raise our blood pressure.
What should be a fun time here, never is!
